Reflections & Soft Skills

I must say this project has not bee one of the most easiest ones. rarely is there a project that really requires commitment and dedication from all the group members. The group really had to work well together in order to get this done, and for that, i must thank my group for making this project a wonderful experience. Hopefully, we are rewarded with our deserved marks. Really learnt how to communicate effectively, even in times of frustration with the software. sometimes practicing restraint, we really had to put our heads together to figure out how to overcome all the obstacles in front of us.

Accpac Meeting on July 3

Wow, we've come a long way from our first meeting. CAS project is actually nearing complete. Hopefully we dont have any major mistakes or crashes. our classmate gave us a scare when they nearly lost all they're back up data. Must save multiple copies!

Today in the free access lab. very hard to get access to lab 8&9 on a school day. whenever its free, we have lesson. when the lab is busy, we are free. not fair!

Browsed through the net finding internal controls in accpac. Changed our point forms into paragraphs too. Free access lab is kind of cramped. no space! lucky we've managed to get our work done, though our theory report is quite short! Must fluff up and make it more wordy. Lucky i managed to find some stuff on the net to help out.

And we're almost done! Congrats Group 2!

Accpac meeting on June 26

Heard about the misadventures on the 18th June meeting. Lucky Ms Yeo to the rescue! Just had our CAS mid sem returned. Our group did quite well. no wonder we're able to do this project quite easily. still a headache though! scanned through every word of the APS to find the internal controls in pinetree together with malcolm. Looking forward to the weekend! How are we supposed to do the theory report now? short meeting today.

Accpac Meeting on June 17

Today it was me and chiw foong figuring out all those figures for depreciation and recurring transactions. HEADACHE! glad we managed to work it out though. Good job chiw foong!

My turn to type in the batch lists too. finger pain. ok its not that bad, just that the school computer keyboard aint exactly the best yea?

So, set up balance day adjustment entries, schedule code, recurring code and staring the GL Data entry form.

This is really double entry - entry in the word doc and entry in accpac. Malcolm came up with an interesting unique transaction for our group too! and we all liked it. Tired from all these projects, what happened to the holidays?!

Accpac Meeting on June 16

Lab is getting crowded these days. Everyone's doing the CAS project. they should permanently make this the A&F lab i tell u. SPECIALLY RESERVED FOR US! :)

today is AP day: AP options, AP GL integration and accounts set up, AP vendor group and list. how are we managing to do all this? I think our group is quite good, all bring in their individual knowledge of accpac and together we are managing to figure things out. Girls are busy taking pictures too! shall upload another time!
